    Hi, Rachel – I stumbled on your website by accident. I was looking for the H.A.L.T. acronym and your blog was part of my Google results. I have a little over 100 lbs to lose, and when I was last in my doctor’s office, he told me “you are about THAT close to Type II diabetes” (picture about 1/2″ between your finger and thumb). That did it – I am now trying very hard to sit up and pay attention. My doctor recommended http://www.myfitnesspal.com, and so far, this has been very helpful; I’ve lost 14 pounds. I realized last night, though, that old habits die hard: I was invited to a friend’s home for a party, and they had some pretty junky food, which I happily chowed down. I figure I need reinforcement, thus the reason I was searching for that acronym to put on my fridge. THANK YOU for your inspirational words and your honest sharing of your experiences! I plan to be a frequent visitor, and I wish you the best on your journey as well!
